Please be aware of the following Age Guidelines throughout the facility:

General Facility Age Guidelines

  • Children ages 11 and up may attend a structured program without an adult
  • Children ages 10 and younger must be accompanied by an adult (15+)

Fitness Area: Cardio & Cable Machines

  • Children 11 and under are not permitted
  • Children 12 to 14 are permitted without an adult after completing Smart Start

Fitness: Weight Room

  • Children 12–14 must be accompanied by an adult (18+) and have completed Smart Start
  • Children 11 and under are not permitted

Group Ex Classes

  • Children 12–14 must be accompanied by an adult (18+)
  • Children 11 and under are not permitted

Aquatics: Comp Pool

  • Children 12 and under must be directly supervised by an adult (18+)

Aquatics: Cove Pool, Family REC Swim

  • Children 11 and up are permitted without an adult
  • Children 7–10 are permitted with an adult (15+) present on deck
  • Children 0–6 are permitted with an adult (15+) present in the water

Aquatics: Cove Pool, Open Lap & River

  • Children 12–14 must be accompanied by an adult (15+)*
    *For exercise only

 

Aquatics: Indoor Hot Tub

  • Children 12–14 must be accompanied by an adult (15+) in the hot tub

  • Children 0–11 are allowed in the Indoor Hot Tub during the following times with an adult 15+ in water
    - Family REC Swim
    - Toddler Time
    - Parent/Child Swim
    - All Ages Cove Swim

 

Aquatics: Outdoor Hot Tub*

  • Must be 18 or older to use the outdoor hot tub 

*Due to safety procedures, the outdoor hot tub closes if ambient "reel feel" temperature reaches 25 degrees or below.

Once a year, we close the pools to deep clean, seal, and repair them so they can continue to run smoothly. Thank you for your understanding, 
COVE POOL CLOSURE: May 31–June 7
COMP POOL CLOSURE: August 23–30
 

When do children need to have an adult in the water/on deck in order to swim in The Cove Pool?
Ages 0-6: Okay to be in the water with an adult (15+) within arms reach – All Ages Cove Swim / Toddler Time / Family REC Swim
Ages 7-10: Okay to be in the water with an adult (15+) on deck - Family REC Swim
Ages 7-14: Okay to be in the water with an adult (15+) on deck – All Ages Swim
Ages 12-14: Okay to be in the water with an adult (15+) on deck – Indoor Hot Tub / Open Lap and River

When do children need to have an adult in The Hot Tub with them?
Ages 0-11: Okay to be in the water with an adult (15+) within arms reach – All Ages Cove Swim / Toddler Time / Family REC Swim
Ages 12-14: Okay to be in the water with an adult (15+) within arms reach – All Programming

Ages 15+: Okay during anytime

When can you swim in The Cove Pool without supervision?

GYM SCHEDULE

Membership is for everyone.

Becoming a member at The Salvation Army Kroc Center is much more than signing up for a health club or wellness center. This is a place where you will feel welcomed and supported no matter what your physical, educational or social goals, and every person in our community is a critical component.
