Immersing yourself or a child in the arts and in educational programming is a great way to lead a more fulfilling and enriching life. Whether it’s learning to play an instrument or read music, or taking a shot at singing, dancing, or acting, there is a place to develop your talent and pursue your dreams here at The Kroc Center. If the fine arts are more for you, classes in sculpting, drawing and painting are also available for you to create your masterpiece. Our state-of-the-art performance and studio spaces allow artists to hone their skills and showcase their work.

Dance & Music Classes
Youth Theater: Underwater Adventures Tuesdays, June 5–26, Ages 4–7, $40 Jillian Kramer is back for a special four week youth theater opportunity! Together we will explore sharks, whales, mermaids and the deep magic of the sea in this very special creative drama class. Costumes, props and our imaginations will be used to create fun ocean characters and take us on an underwater adventure each session.
Acoustic Guitar Lessons Mondays, June 18–July 16, Ages 11+, $32 These
group music lessons will cover the fundamentals of playing the guitar.
Strumming techniques, basic chords, reading music and simple songs will
be taught. Instructor will teach students guitar playing techniques and
how to read music. Students will also share information and enjoy the
pleasure of playing music with other guitarists. Bring your own acoustic
guitar.
Youth Jazz Wednesdays, June 20–Aug 11*, Ages 5–10, $36 Jazz dance is a blend of ballet technique and Broadway-styled performance. In this fun and energetic class students will learn fundamental dance techniques and how to move with proper body alignment. Dancers will gain flexibility, strength, coordination, and become confident performers. This class is up-beat and pure jazzy fun! If you love to move to the music and want to look good dancing this is the class for you! All moves and music are respectful and age appropriate. Wear active style clothing. No shoes required. Bare feet are fine. *No Class July 4.

Arts & Crafts
Art & Church Experience Mondays, June 18–30*, Ages 11+, Free This six week class explores the relationship between the arts and the
church. What is ART? Is there a Biblical view of the arts? What does it
mean to be an artist? What is an artist's role in the church? Why is
there so much tension between the arts and the church? Please register
in advance. Space is limited. *No class July 2.
Intro to Outdoor Photography Saturdays, June 23–July 21*, Ages 18+, $40 Welcome to a new way of looking at the world. This class combines off-site shooting with classroom instruction in order to develop skills that will help you become a better photographer. Along with composition techniques, we will discuss aperture and shutter settings, ISO settings, the rule of thirds, understanding a histogram and the golden hours. This class is designed for the beginner to intermediate skill level. Please bring your camera and an under- standing of its basic functions, a willingness to learn and your passion for photography. Meet at The Kroc Center for first lesson. *No class July 7.

Homework Help Monday–Friday, 3–5:45pm, FREE The Kroc Center provides homework help, a healthy snack, physical activity and exposure to various aspects of the facility on a daily basis. Transportation will be provided from Woodland, Canfield and Lakes Middle Schools to The Kroc Center. Students arrive at 3:00 and participate in a minimum of 30 minutes of homework help, test preparation and/or study skills as needed. After homework is complete, students will have the opportunity to experience a variety of activities, tournaments and interactions organized by Kroc staff. If you're wondering what to do after a long school day, we encourage you to come hang with us at The Kroc where we work hard and play hard! This is a drop-in activity. Open to students in grades 6–12 at no cost. Homework Help is not available on early dismissal days, school holidays, or snow days.
