Well...we've got a top-of-the-line 25 yd. x 25 m. Myrtha Technology competition pool, a one-of-a-kind leisure pool, an indoor and outdoor hot tub, a lazy river, and sundeck. Our Aquatics Department, complete with American Red Cross Certified instructors and coaches are dedicated to providing quality classes and training no matter your age or ability.
Drop-In Classes Drop-in classes are a perfect way to
learn a new skill, make friends, or improve your fitness. Now offering a
variety of activities including water aerobics, deep
water cardio fitness, and riverwalk classes. Looking for action? Join in on
drop-in water polo! Class times are subject to change. Download

Youth Extreme Team Session starts July 11. Sun/Tues/Thur, 12 classes. Ages 12-17. Take multisport to the extreme with this fun new program for
tweens and teens. The goal of this youth multisport program is to promote a
healthy lifestyle, build confidence and provide a positive athletic experience
in a safe and nurturing environment. Activities will include swimming, biking,
running, fitness and nutritional education. T-shirt and snacks provided.

Guardstart: Lifeguarding Tomorrow Next session starts July 19.
Mon-Fri, 5 days a week. Ages 11-14, $100 Aren't quite old enough to be a lifeguard? GuardStart:
Lifeguarding Tomorrow is an exciting program where 11-14 year-olds build a
foundation of knowledge, swimming and leadership skills for future completion
of a Lifeguarding course. Certified instructors will provide youth students
with a fun and exciting introduction to water safety, water rescues, CPR, first
aid, emergency response, spinal injury management, injury prevention and more.
Junior lifeguards will participate in water and land
activities designed to promote leadership, fitness, positive self-esteem, and
teamwork. Theme based lessons and instruction will be complemented by videos,
interactive play, games, and physical activities.

Dive into Swim Lessons! Next session starts July 12. The Salvation Army Kroc Center Learn-To-Swim program
provides a safe, fun environment for your child to learn the fundamentals of
swimming as well as learn self-confidence. We promote personal development,
water safety, and the learning of a lifetime skill that can enhance your
child's life.
The goal of group Learn-to-Swim lessons is to develop
progressive swimming skills. Each skill level includes the teaching and
assessment of critical water skills, plus a water safety component. We follow
the American Red Cross Learn-to-Swim Program using Certified Red Cross
Instructors and Aides.

YOUTH FITNESS SWIM New session starts July 1, Ages 12-18, $50/month Designed for youth who love to swim but do not want the commitment of a club
sport. Swim techniques for competition strokes will be emphasized as well as
conditioning and endurance. You will be lead by qualified and enthusiastic
instructors who will make your workout challenging and fun!
Beginning Water
Polo New session starts July 7, Ages 14+, $24/month Now you can learn how to play water polo! This class will
develop the basic skills of passing, catching, shooting, goal tending, and
more. Participants will learn the fundamentals and rules of this Olympic sport.
Master's Competitive Swim Team New session starts July 2, Ages 18+, $40/month Are you an adult interested in swim team workouts with a
Coach on deck to lead training sessions and help you improve your freestyle,
backstroke, breaststroke and butterfly? The Kroc Center is bringing together
new and former competitive swimmers to form a Masters Swim Team. Competitive and non-competitive swimmers of all ability levels are welcome.
American Red Cross
Lifeguard Certification Class Next session starts July 26,
Ages 15+, $200 Participants will be given the knowledge and skills needed
to prevent and respond to aquatic emergencies. The course content and
activities prepare participants to recognize and respond quickly and
effectively to emergencies and prevent drownings and injuries.
ENDURANCE FREESTYLE SWIM Next session starts July 27, Ages
15+, $48 Want to go further and faster with less effort? Improve your
freestyle endurance, strength and confidence in the pool and open water. This
class will teach you to be efficient and economical in the water. Must be able
to swim 200 yards freestyle. Highly recommended for triathletes and open water
swimmers.

Competitive Swimming-CAST Youth Swim Team Join the excitement by becoming a member of the Coeur d Alene Area Swim Team! Evaluations to see if you are ready for the swimming program are available by appointment. Previous competitive swimming experience is not required; the evaluation is designed to make sure new participants are placed into the proper practice groups.
You don't have to be a great swimmer to get started. The entry level program is specifically designed for swimmers who enjoy the water and can complete a length of a 25 yard pool unassisted. CAST's emphasis is on establishing proper stroke technique in all four competitive strokes in a fun and challenging environment and preparing our swimmers for age group competition. If you love to swim and are ready to take the next step up from a lesson program, CAST is the way to go!
